Gerardo Saenz is a fixer, writer and director, based at the border, with a Digital Media Production bachelor's degree from UTEP. After graduating in 2018, he worked as a fixer for several international film and journalism productions such as Chinese production “On the road”. Worked as 2nd AC in the short film “La vida silenciosa” directed by J. Genaro Limón; short film selected at the Morelia International Film Festival. Gerardo has been the Director of photography for several collaborations such as “El Muro” by Colectivo Chopeke and Mago Gándara in Mago’s Gándara art exhibition “El silencio y el tiempo” at the Juarez art museum.

He was also the Director of photography for documenting the "Teeter-totter wall” art installation by Ronald's Rael, San Fratello's and Colectivo Chopeke. Renowned art installation that was selected as one of the best 2019 art installations by Artsy.

He also filmed Rafael Lozano’s Hemmer art installation “Border Tuner” where he worked hand by hand with Miguel Legault.

In 2020 he wrote, produced and directed his first short film Onésimo, upcoming short film currently in post-production   .
